TheYu-Gi-Oh!card game is home to many powerful cards that can turn the tide of whatsoever duel, both in and out of the anime's globe. Of course, the game would non be consummate without the monster cards, some potent in attacking or defending, and some with their own unique abilities.

Y'all could say thatYu-Gi-Oh!'due southmonster cards are the main players in the game, and there've been some incredibly powerful ones over the franchise's long history. At the aforementioned time though, there are quite a few weaklings among the wide assortment of monsters besides which can be more or less useless sometimes.

ten WEAKEST: Sinister Ophidian

Sinister Serpent may look a picayune intimidating, but that's clearly all it is since it's assail points are a meager 300. Basically, this serpent is nearly equally stiff equally the cute and furry Kuriboh. The only affair that it really has going for it is its effect.

During the player's standby phase, if this monster is already in the graveyard, it tin be returned to their manus. That's pretty much it; Sinister Serpent's only use is that it can be a continuous meat shield or something that tin can be discarded if need be.

9 STRONGEST: Pot of the Forbidden

The "pot" or "jar" monsters in Yu-Gi-Oh!have a history of being devastating when played right, but Pot of The Forbidden might simply have the block out of all of them. It may take a fleck to summon for a decent 2000 attack points and solid 3000 defence points, but its true power is in its upshot.

If this card is flipped after being faced downward, the player can activate one of 4 unlike effects, they can either describe ii cards, return all spells and traps on the field to the hand, destroy all of their opponent'southward monsters, or look at their opponent's paw and choose one card to be shuffled. An incredibly versatile consequence that proves that a monster doesn't just need loftier assail points to be potent.

8 WEAKEST: Skull Servant

Yet another monster with near the aforementioned set on authorisation as Kuriboh, simply different that adorable poof-ball, Skull Servant is a normal monster and therefore has no furnishings at all to redeem its low attack power. Fifty-fifty it's card description says that it'southward pretty weak.

Luckily though, Skull Retainer has a whole line of cards to support it, making information technology a pretty useful component in the right setup. In a sense, Skull Servant is a poster child for how a weak monster can become useful if the deck is stacked correct, just on its own, information technology'south simply a lamentable pile of bones.

seven STRONGEST: Dragon Primary Knight

What would happen if you lot combined the badass looking Black Luster Soldier with the powerful and ferocious Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon? You would cease up getting Dragon Master Knight, a fusion monster with a whopping attack and defense force of 5000.

It's devastatingly high stats are intimidating plenty, but thanks to its consequence information technology can gain an additional 500 attack points for every dragon monster the player has on the field. If an opponent isn't prepared, then Dragon Main Knight could mayhap cease the duel with 1 well placed direct attack.

6 WEAKEST: Dancing Elf

dancing elf

If Skull Servant had ane affair to exist thankful for, it would probably be that it wasn't Dancing Elf. This card has a similar problem to Skull Retainer, having the same attack and defense points equally it and no effect, only different Skull Servant, Dancing Elf never received whatsoever cards that would dorsum it up.

Since information technology's as well weak to practice whatever significant damage and would hands be taken out by other monsters, Dancing Elf ends upward just being an expendable monster card that seemingly has no value no matter how the deck is gear up up.

5 STRONGEST: V-Headed Dragon

If a player manages to fuse five dragon monsters together, they would finish upward getting the overwhelming ability of 5-Headed Dragon. Managing to beat out Blue-Optics Ultimate Dragon in set on power and a ridiculous amount of heads, V-Headed Dragon as a staggering 5000 attack points that could mow down virtually annihilation in its path.

If that wasn't enough, Five-Headed Dragon'south effect also makes information technology immune to being destroyed past whatever monster with World, Water, Fire, Current of air, or Dark attributes. Unless the role player has a good trap, spell, or a stronger Calorie-free/Divine monster in their arsenal, Five-Headed Dragon will wreck them.

four WEAKEST:  1000-Eyes Idol

If it doesn't have a decent effect, then a monster with zero attack and defense points is pretty much just cannon forage. Such is the case for One thousand-Eyes Idol. It may accept an unsettling blueprint, but K-Eyes Idol is merely pathetically weak, literally unable to beat out whatsoever monster in battle at all.

Fifty-fifty other weak monsters tin take out this bill of fare with no problem, though Grand-Optics Idol is non useless. If it's able to fuse with Relinquished, so they tin can become the intimidating and infinitely more than useful Thousand-Eyes Restrict. Without that fusion, though, Thousand-Eyes Idol is but waiting to be destroyed past stronger monsters.

iii STRONGEST: Exodia The Forbidden One

When discussing stiffYu-Gi-Oh!monsters, it'southward near incommunicable to avoid talking about the original game-ending monster, Exodia the Forbidden I. If a player can assemble all v of Exodia's pieces, then Exodia can literally finish the duel in victory correct then and in that location no affair how badly they're losing.

The lore behind information technology states that Exodia'southward ability was so immeasurable that information technology had to exist split up into its separate parts just to incorporate it. In the anime, Yami Yugi was able to use Exodia, which was able to have out iii Blueish-Eyes White Dragons by itself with ease. It even went toe-to-toe with the immortal Zork.

2 WEAKEST: Fusionist

To give Fusionist some credit, it at least has more assault points than most of the other weak monsters on this list. However, this winged cat's attack points still don't crack 1000, and the fact that this is a fusion monster makes that all the more egregious.

Fusionist requires the fusion of Petit Affections and Mystical Sheep #2, and only ends up having a measly 900 set on and 700 defense. This isn't even a large improvement between the two since Mystical Sheep #2 has only 100 fewer attack points and 300 more defence force points on its ain. With no effect either, Fusionist is basically a waste product of iii cards (including polymerization) merely to get 1 of the worst cards in the game.

1 STRONGEST: The Egyptian God Cards

With the ability of literal gods, the Egyptian God cards are by far are some of the most powerful monsters that have ever been in the Yu-Gi-Oh!franchise. Information technology's admittedly hard to but put one of these legendary monsters over the other ii, so information technology'southward simply fair to count the entire trio as a three-way tie since each has incredibly high, and sometimes even immeasurable, assault power and insanely broken special abilities.

Obelisk can sacrifice monsters to increase its attack power or destroy all the opponent'due south monsters, Slifer can attack even without a battle phase and increase its ability with the cards in the player's hand, and Winged Dragon of Ra can become pretty much invincible. In the anime, they're even capable of combining their powers together. It's no wonder why official duels restrict the utilise of these cards.
